Urgent Appeal: Stop the Execution of Five Ahwazi Arabs
"On June 17, 2012, the Iranian authorities executed four prisoners—three of them brothers— who were arrested following civil unrest and protests in April 2011 in Ahwaz (Capital of the southwestern Iranian province of Khuzestan). Now, five more political and civil activists have been sentenced to death based on the charges of "Acting against national security" and "Moharebeh" (enmity against God). These activists are: Mohammad Ali Amouri, Hadi Rashedi, Hashem Sha’bani, and two brothers, Seyed Mokhtar Albooshooke and Seyed Jaber Albooshooke. By signing this petition we can help save the life of these prisoners who are being imprisoned and condemned to death after being denied fair trials and any other legal proceedings."
